The rest of the hardware configuration was a breeze, thanks to easy configuration sheet to follow quickly.

The software installation was not so easy. The installation program on the CD said that the software is not compatible with OS X Mavericks and suggested I go to Canon’s website for the latest versions. But then I faced the problem of figuring out what I needed. Finally, I realized that the main programs needed were the driver, Print Studio Pro, and Canon IJ Network Tool.

When the IJ Network Tool is used to configure printing Wi-Fi, you need to have the printer connected via USB or you’ll get an error message, an instruction would have liked to see at the start.
The good news is that if you’re lucky, the configuration will only need to do once. Canon must do a better job to help users with the installation of the software, making it clear what elements are necessary.
